Collegeliterally the sweetest and I felt so bad when others wouldn't participate because she really cares and is passionate. class overall is pretty chill/ easy with not much readings and there is always enough time to finish the papers
Professor Hirsch was approachable and understanding. She uses a variety of different writers, novels and movies in her classes. Lectures also included fundamentals of writing and gave in depth feedback. The Final grade consists of three essays, writing responses, and class participation. Overall, my writing improved drastically!
Professor Hirsch is awesome! One of my favorite professors I've had at UCSB. Pretty easy grader, but you are going to have to put a good amount of work into this class, but learn SO much. Really rewarding class, I would recommend it if you're even remotely interested in journalism!
Professor Hirsch was very helpful and accessible. We had three essays in total for the quarter in which she gave detailed feedback on. If you have any experience in academic writing, this class will be a breeze. Topics were slightly boring but extremely clear. Great class.
