Honestly, it's a bit hard to have an A, but you can really learn a lot from her classes. Try your best to write the two essays, and edit them follow her instructions. She is a very caring teacher and is willing to provide help after class. Do attend her office hours.

DO NEVER TAKE HER CLASS!!!! She is not a fair grader and the grade of first paper came out after the course-drop deadline. She meant to tell you that you are not a good writer. She is indeed encouraging with her feedback, but her generosity is never reflected in her grading.
If you take Ling12 with her, prepare it to be harder than writing 2.

Amy is a very interesting teacher. The topic she provided is very motivating, though sometimes the thesis statement is hard to get. The grading criteria are very clear and she is not a tough grader. Go to her office hour and follow her instruction to revise essays, then you will definitely get a high score. I feel I learned a lot in every class.
