CollegeSo much information thrown at us during lecture. Labs were quite difficult and lengthy and the TA wasn't much help :/ However, she was very kind during office hours. Midterm and final not too bad, all mcq and allowed cheat sheets. Didn't go into much depth sometimes, and mostly reads of the slides. egregious amount of slides per lecture.
She is a nice person; however, this class was my least favorite of all quarter. Honestly I hated it,,, it was so much work for a class I (tbh) didn't care about. We had to go on a field trip on a SATURDAY at 7:30am to 3 pm. The labs are annoying. I'd steer clear of this class with this prof and wait until the other prof teaches it.
Lectures are pretty heavy and fast paced but if you understand those topics, then you are good! She also records her lectures so you can look over them if you need to review. Overall a challenging class but as long as you show up for the lectures, study, and go to office hours, you should be good and will learn a ton! Super sweet professor!
She was very passionate about the subject, but was simply put not a good teacher. She used the word "um" every 5 seconds, and it was almost as if she was learning the material with us. She would ramble and throw tons of information at us, which would not be in quizzes or labs but showed up on the final.
My experience with this geography class wasn't engaging. The instructor lacked energy and enthusiasm, making it hard to stay interested. There was little guidance for the final exam, and when students asked questions, she often seemed unsure and rarely followed up.
This class was like a geology info dump. So much content in each lecture which itself was interesting, but the way she taught was boring and exhausting. It was her first time teaching this course, and she rarely knew the answers to questions we had. Generally unhelpful and too much info to memorize for exams.
