Best professor EVER. She is so friendly and makes the class easy to follow. I've learned a lot in her class. She gives a lot of homework but with her instruction, it is not hard at all. As long as you put effort and pay attention to the class, it is easy to get an ideal grade.

She was a good teacher in class. However, she was not responsible and fair when she graded. She made her decision too subjectively and did not care about how much effort I made for the essay. Most of her grading criteria is the relationship between the student and her. Going to office hour and wechat her frequently is an effective way to make it.

Amy is definitely the best teacher in the writing program! She gives great feedback as well as heavy homework but it helps you improve a lot. I would like to take her class again if I have a chance. Strongly Recommend!

Amy is one of the best Linguistics instructors at UCSB. I have learnt a lot of writing strategies in ling12. Although I spent a large amount of time in writing and revising paper, it definitely helped me a lot in writing process.

Amy joy loves her students. she is really helpful for me. she is a humorous and caring person that I would make friends with her.

Everybody should have a concept of what a great teacher should be like, but I just don't see any in her and her class.

Its better to try some other teachers, you wont do good in her class, it tells from my experience. No matter how hard you try.

Amy is really nice. Her lectures and topics are both interesting and useful. For LING 3C , rough draft accounts for 60 percent of the whole essay grade. But she can help students about the essay structure and give good suggestions. ps. SHE IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL AND NICE.
