CollegeTook Comm 1 for my pre-major requirement this winter. Nikki was such a passionate lecturer I couldn't help but want to listen to what she said. She always had good feedback and answers to questions. We had our midterm and final online and two five-page papers toughly graded by TAs. Just take good notes and you'll do well!
I 100% enjoyed COMM1 with Nikki! Though I had a rocky start for the first two weeks, I worked my way up to earn a good grade. The TA section was required for attendance. I had it at 8 a.m. (It helped me gain focus, lol). It is a very straightforward and basic class as a GE or Pre-Communication requirement.
Nikki really cares about her students and whether or not they understand the content. She'll always be willing to give feedback on papers and thesis statements. There is a one use 48 hour extension to use on one of the two papers. Midterm and final were both online and taken through Canvas.
took this as a 3 week summer class. it was really fast, but i learned a ton. she is super passionate and knowledgeable about the subject; as well as compassionate and understanding, especially when you communicate with her. we did have a group project, but she gave us plenty of class time to work on it. would definitely take another class with her
